Obituary of Frances Schlesinger
Frances Alberti Schlesinger, 88, of Freehold, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, at Jordan Oak Center, Cary, N.C., while visiting her sister. Mrs. Schlesinger was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and had lived in New York City, and Middletown before moving to The Villages, Howell in 1972. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. She was a bookkeeper in the dry cleaning industry until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband, George C. Schlesinger Jr., in 1997. Surviving are a brother, Frank Alberti of Palm Bay, Fla.; two sisters, Janice Russell of Cary, N.C., and Angela Dea of Ringwood; a nephew; and three nieces.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
