Obituary of Victor Ventura
Sunoco station owner, 87 Victor A. Ventura, 87, of Farmingdale died on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at the Medicenter of Neptune City, Neptune City, N.J. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Rd. (Rt. 524), Freehold Twp., N.J., is on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by his 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Rd., Farmingdale, N.J. Mr. Ventura was born in New Bedford, Mass., and had lived in Union, N.J., and Toms River, N.J., before moving to Farmingdale, N.J., two years ago. He was the owner and operator of Vic's Sunoco, Irvington, N.J., for many years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Ventura was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale, N.J. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a devoted grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes, in 2003. Surviving are two sons and two daughters-in-law, Joe and Cindy Ventura of Farmingdale, N.J., and Vic and Patti Ventura of Pittstown, N.J.; five grandchildren, Gina, Dillon, Connor, Logan and Joseph Ventura, and a sister, Irene Yonadi of South Mantoloking, N.J.
