Obituary of John Dwyer
John J. Dwyer, 65, of Howell Township passed away at home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, Jack was raised in Sheepshead Bay and had lived in Bay Ridge before moving to Howell in 1989. He was a Licensed Representative for Morgan Stanley, Brooklyn, until his retirement in 1995. In retirement, Jack worked as a Financial Consultant and for Home Depot in Howell. Jack loved to sail and was a former member of Sheepshead Bay Yacht Club. He enjoyed watching TV and gardening. Jack was an avid reader, especially of espionage novels and a connoisseur of store- baked goods. All bark but no bite, Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to tell a great story. His family was his life.
He was predeceased by his father, John Dwyer in 1998. Jack is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marguerite Dwyer of Howell; two daughters, Tierney Miller and her husband, Matthew of Cherry Hill, and Shannon Dwyer and her fiancé, Joshua Pasch of Santa Monica, CA; his granddaughter, Alice; his mother, Helen Dwyer of Brooklyn; two brothers, James Dwyer and his wife, Pam of Manchester and William Dwyer of Brooklyn; a sister, Carol Sabatino and her husband, Frank of Brooklyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, Charlie.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM with his 4:00 PM funeral service to follow at the funeral home.
