Obituary of Gladys Cragg

Gladys H. Cragg, 91, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at home. Gladys was born in Long Branch, raised in Sea Bright and had lived in Brielle before moving to Freehold in 1996. She retired as an occupational therapist for Marlboro State Hospital in 1987 after 26 years of service. Prior to that, Gladys worked at Point Pleasant Hospital in the Central Supply Department. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Freehold. Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Durell Cragg in 1985; two brothers, Samuel Rock and Leroy Rock; seven sisters, Sarah Thompson, Lois Fisher, Inice Shomo, Frances Branham, Beryl Hughes, Catherine Rock, and Cynthia Brittingham. She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn Boswell and her husband, Charles; a son, Durell Cragg, Jr. of Manasquan; two granddaughters, Cassandra Cragg of the Bronx and Charolyn Sharrock and her husband, Kevin of Plainsboro; six great-grandchildren, Kacia, Lauren, Rahnieme, River, Raden and Naomi; two brothers, William Rock and Rodger Rock; a sister, Carolyn Mann; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friend are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 141 Court Street, Freehold on Saturday, July 16, 2016.
