Obituary of Ronald Bahl

Ronald B. Bahl, 76 of Farmingdale passed away on July 8, 2016 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills. Ron was born, raised and had lived in Newark until moving to Farmingdale in 1985. He owned and operated Ivy Hill Chevron, Newark until his retirement. Ron cared for horses and livestock on his farm, Red Gate. He enjoyed Drag Racing at Englishtown Raceway and on Route 22. Ron loved the Rodeo and Country Music and was always humming a tune. He was able to fix anything. Ron had a sweet tooth and could be found on a late night run for cake. He was as stubborn as they come, yet he had a gigantic generous heart. Ron was known to many people by many names such as, "Chevron Ron", "Dually" and "Big Daddy". Ron is predeceased by his mother, Irene Freibott. He is survived by his children, Michelle Bahl D'Angelo and her husband, Donald of Jackson, Ronald J. Bahl of Jackson, and Sabrina Bahl of Farmingdale; a granddaughter, Nicole D'Angelo of Asbury Park; Sabrina's mother, Robyn Birdsall of Wall; three sisters, Joan Pisar and her husband, Stephen of Farmingdale, Diane Spacciante of Florida, and Lois Conroy of Kearny; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Dawnmarie Sims of Freehold and George Garthwaite of Farmingdale. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM.
