My aunt Cookie was one of my favorite people. She was our family touchstone, our historian and she kept us all connected as the matriarch of my mother's family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren...and she was a devoted wife to her beloved husband "Peter". She was my champion and always made me feel like anything was possible. Her voice and presence was always reassuring and I always felt uplifted being around her. Many of my favorite times have been spent being with her, No matter where we went, she touched the lives of others, and strangers quickly became friends. She made me laugh like no other and her nostalgic stories could keep me engaged until all hours. I feel blessed having known her and grateful for the memories we created. We all now have another angel up there watching over us. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. May God deservingly bless her and may she rest in eternal peace.
