Obituary of Harry Smith

Harry S. Smith, 80, of Manalapan Township, NJ passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at home. Mr. Smith was born in East Orange and had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Manalapan Twp. in 1986. He was a Project Manager for Solondz Developers, Roselle Park, for 31 years. He was a Senior Property Manager at Legow Management Co., LLC, Livingston for 19 years. Mr. Smith was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He attended Newark College of Engineering and enjoyed reading and was a tractor enthusiast, a knowledgeable man who shared his abilities, thoughtfulness, and creativity with countless others. His willingness to help will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth in 1996; and a son, Kevin, in 1985. He is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Smith of Wall Twp., NJ, and Daniel Smith of Dayton, NJ; 1 Daughter, Carol D'Aloia of Lakewood, NJ; 1 Brother, Raymond Smith of Deerfield Beach, FL; 9 Grandchildren; and 2 Great Grandchildren. Visiting at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp., NJ on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetary, 28 Hoover Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ.
