Obituary of Anthony Spinarelli

Anthony C. Spinarelli, 87, of Freehold, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at CentraState Medial Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Spinarelli was born in Jersey City and had lived in Edison before moving to Surrey Downs, Freehold in 1997. He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Mr. Spinarelli was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3117, and the American Legion Post 324, both of Edison. He was a furnace operator and maintenance man for Heraeus Amersil, Hillside. He was predeceased by four brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Patricia Spinarelli; and a nephew, Rod Geraghty of Whiting. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Rute 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by his noon Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
