Obituary of James Dramis
James Dramis, 73, of Farmingdale passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved to Farmingdale in 1992. James was an educator. He spent the majority of his career and retired from The Browning School in Manhattan. In retirement, he was employed for three years by Red Bank Catholic. A devout Catholic, James taught CCD confirmation classes and was a volunteer at St. Catherine of Siena Church. He enjoyed watching movies, tinkering with electric trains and gardening. James will be remembered as a true family-man. He loved spending time with his family and attending baseball and soccer games with his children.
He was predeceased by his brother, Nicholas Dramis in 2013. James is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lillian Dramis of Farmingdale; his children, James Mark Dramis of Fair Lawn, Mark Edward Dramis of Farmingdale and Laura Ann Dramis of Farmingdale; his sister, Victoria D'Alessandro of Fairview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM prior to procession to his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
