Obituary of Frank Cannatella
Frank J. Cannatella, 75, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born and raised in Brooklyn and lived in Staten Island before moving to Freehold in 2014. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Frank then went to work as a track inspector for Staten Island Rapid Transit. He was a fan of the Giants and the Rangers, and enjoyed playing chess online. Frank was well-loved, and will be missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lucrezia Cannatella; son, Jeffrey Cannatella and his wife, Maureen, of Staten Island; daughter, Tracy Cannatella of Long Branch; grandchildren, Mallory Brager, Courtney Cannatella, Nicholas Cannatella and Kylie Cannatella; and grandpup, Rusty.
Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the funeral home at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
