Condolences
Eileen was my aunt - my mother's sister. When we had the good fortune to be together, she always brought a large dose of humor and good old common sense. She was grounded, and city bred. A delight to have known her, and to have gained from the experience. Gods speed to heaven. Love your nephew, Kevin
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us precious memories, your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, your always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
Grandma you will be missed dearly by all of us but we know you're in a better place now. We were all so lucky to have you in our lives for as long as we did. I will miss your sweet face and your hugs and kisses. You will forever be in my heart.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER
Christine
I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new, I thought about you yesterday and days before that too, I think of you in silence, I often speak your name, all I have are memories and your picture in a frame, your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part, God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart, miss and love you so very much, please watch over me, Love You, Peggy
Aunt Eileen loved to dance. We would always try to dance at family weddings starting with mine in Pittsburgh 45 years ago.Every time a wedding came along we would be sure to share at least one dance. Our last dance was just a few years ago when we danced to a Sinatra song at Bobby's daughter's wedding. She was a good dancer.
I also remember her as kind, down to earth and having a very good sense of humor.
Above are two pictures that I found among some of my Mom's (her sister) keepsakes. One shows Eileen sitting on models of the Trylon and Perisphere from the 1939-1940 World's Fair at the Eastman Kodak exhibit. The other photo shows Eileen with her mom and a bridesmaid on her wedding day.
