Obituary of Laura Marotta

Laura Marotta, 95, of Howell passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Laura was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn, NY. She also lived in the New Springville section of Staten Island and Toms River before moving to Howell in 1994. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Antonio and her sister, Agnes Summo. She is survived by a son, Frank Marotta and his wife, AnnMarie of Staten Island; three daughters, Marie Capasso of Florida and her former husband, Ralph Capasso of Jackson, Theresa Marino and her husband, Anthony of Howell, and Laura Ann Ponterio and her husband, Anthony of Jackson; eleven grandchildren, Anthony Marotta, Claudine Duque and her husband, Anthony, Ralph Capasso and his former wife, Jackie Glassford, Lori Sihler and her husband, Jim, Christopher Marino and his wife, Jackie, Joseph Marino and his wife, Margaret, Anthony Marino and his wife, Jessica, Michael Ponterio, Anthony Ponterio, Michelle Goodison and her husband, Jonathan, and Nicholas Ponterio and his wife, Sarah; eleven greatgrandchildren Alexa Jade Marotta, Jagger Duque, Vaughn Duque, Joey Capasso, Dana Capasso, Ava Sihler, Nicole Sihler, Kevin Marino, Daniel Goodison, Olivia Goodison, and Avery Ponterio; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp.
