Obituary of William Monks
William T. Monks, 65, of Staten Island passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Staten Island Care Center. William was born, raised and lived his whole life in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island. He taught mathematics at Monsignor Farrell High School, Tottenville High School and Staten Island Technical High School. William held a Black Belt, Master Rank at Vadha Kempo Karate, where he trained students in martial arts and his legacy is still evident today. William had a great sense of humor, a love for animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed solving riddles and thinking games. He liked to travel, taking many trips across the United States.

The mission of Project Hospitality is to reach out to Staten Island community members who are hungry, homeless or otherwise in need in order to work with them to achieve their self-sufficiency, thereby enhancing the quality of life for our community.
