Obituary of Domenico Grisanti
Domenico Grisanti, 87, of Millstone Township passed away at home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 with his wife of 56 years by his side. Domenico was born in Mola di Bari, Italy and lived there until coming to the United States in 1969. He resided in Brooklyn, NY and Port St. Lucie, FL before settling here in 2013. He was a maintenance worker for Kelmar Contractors in the Brooklyn Navy Yard until his retirement. Domenico enjoyed playing slots in Atlantic City, cultivating his vegetable garden and watching Italian soccer and cheering for his team, Inter.
He was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. Domenico is survived by his wife, Maria Grisanti; two daughters, Diane Grisanti of Millstone and Bina Locicero and her husband, Peter, of Millstone; son, Nick Grisanti and his wife, Lauren, of Howell; seven grandchildren, Sara Marcano and her husband, Jonn, Angelo Locicero, Maria Locicero, Domenico Locicero, Alexandra Grisanti, Nicole Grisanti and Dominick Grisanti; great grandson, Giovanni Marcano; brother, Vito of Italy; and two sisters, Rosa and Maria, also of Italy.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
