Obituary of Joann Sutterfield

Joann Sutterfield, 76, of Freehold Township, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Mrs. Sutterfield was born in Newark and had lived in Irvington and Glen Ridge before moving to Freehold Township 13 years ago. Mrs. Sutterfield was a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for Toyota Motor Sales, Port Newark, retiring in 1998. From 1998 to December, 2008, she was a sales associate for Macy's, Freehold. Mrs. Sutterfield was a former treasurer for the Old Oaks II, Raintree Homeowners Association, Freehold. She was predeceased by husband, Douglass, in 1992. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Patricia Craig of Palm Coast, Fla., and David and Elizabeth Craig of Howell; five grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, John, Rory, and Thomas; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
