Condolences
There aren’t too many Tom and Philomena Delaneys in the world that I am aware of so I am going to proceed on the assumption that this is the same Tom Delaney I was stationed with in Londonderry, N.I. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Philomena. My heart broke which I know it was no where close to what you had to go through. Philomena was such a sweet woman with a warm and outgoing personality and sense of humor. She always had a knack for making me smile or laugh, especially when I needed it most. We were only together for a short time but you two would impact us for the rest of our lives, which should serve as a lasting tribute to the both of you as we both left Derry and our respective Navy careers took us in different directions. Joyce and I are are still married after 47 years and both as stubborn as ever. We both talk about you guys from time to time and think of you as family. Hang in there buddy and I hope you are still holding on to that terrific sense of humor. Don’t Rock the Boat, Baby!!!
Deepest condolences on the loss of such a remarkable, joyous and brave woman. She was a loving presence with remarkable spirit and one who taught me that life was an adventure, to take chances and live without fear, to forgive without conditions and laugh heartily. I'm so thankful to not only have her in my life but to have her in my family. I will carry your love and lessons in my heart always Phila. With much love, your niece Laura and her husband Daniel.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as we remember a wonderful woman- wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend and celebrate her amazing life. We wish you much comfort and love. May the angels be with you Aunt Phila.
