Obituary of Kent Moshier
Kent W. Moshier, 72, of Howell passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Kent was born in Portland, Maine, raised in Rockland, Maine and had lived in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island before moving to Howell in 2011. He worked for the NY Transit Authority in Coney Island until his retirement. Kent was a former Little League coach, West Shore and was a Ham Radio Operator, known as "WA20GV". He was a Jets/Mets fan and reveled in the time he spent at First Energy Park watching the Lakewood Blue Claws. Kent was an active member of the Howell Senior Center where he enjoyed playing bingo. A devoted husband, loving father and adoring grandfather, he will be remembered for his love.
Kent is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Sandra; a son, John Moshier and his wife, Kristy of Staten Island; a daughter, Barbara Santamassino and her husband, Joseph of Howell; and five grandchildren, Steven, Allison, Lori, Angela, and Michael.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Interment will be private.
