Obituary of Francesco Nicastri
Francesco Courtland Nicastri, 84, of Howell passed away peacefully at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Frank was born and raised in Washington, DC and settled in New Jersey in 1996. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he was a happy man who always had a smile on his face and an appreciation for the beauty of life. A diehard Redskins fan, he enjoyed the excitement of the racetrack and enjoyed disco dancing. Frank was known for saying "I can't spell, but I sure can change a hundred dollar bill".
Frank is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mariann Benenati of Howell; his daughter, Kathleen Kornfeld and her husband, Jeff, of Massapequa, Long Island; and two grandsons, Scott Kornfeld and David Kornfeld.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM for the procession to his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown.
