Obituary of Denise Poulillo
Denise A. Poulillo, 49, of Howell passed away suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2012 surrounded by her family. Denise was born in Landstuhl, Germany (daughter of an Air Force Major), raised in Jacobstown, and lived in Franklin Park and Mount Holly before settling to Howell in 1992. She was a 1986 graduate of Georgian Court University. For the past 26 years, Denise was a special education teacher for the Pemberton Board of Education most recently at the Early Childhood Education Center. Prior to that, she taught at the Emmons School in Pemberton. Denise was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Jackson. She was a committee member of the Boy Scouts, Troop 180, Tennent. Denise was a loving and caring mother to her children and grandson, and a devoted wife of twenty-five years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Helen Cannon. Denise is survived by her husband, Richard; a son, Richard P. Poulillo, Jr. (enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program for the U.S. Marine Corps and will leave in September); three daughters, Katherine A. Poulillo, Danielle E. Poulillo, and Lauren M. Poulillo; a grandson, Bryce; two brothers, Mark Cannon and his wife, Kathy of Pennsville and Michael Cannon and his wife, Theresa of Howell; a sister, Christine Bright and her husband, Norman of Pembroke Pines, FL; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the funeral home for the procession to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, NJ for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery, Wall.
