Obituary of Roland Cadotte
Roland J. Cadotte, 86, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in South Norwalk, CT, he was raised in New York City and moved to Freehold Township in 1965. Roland proudly served his country as a sharpshooter in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a broker at the New York Stock Exchange for 38 years until his retirement in 1991. Along with his wife, Roland enjoyed spending time in Fort Myers, Florida and trips to Atlantic City. He was a diehard fan of the New York Yankees and an avid baseball player himself. With a passion for the game of golf, Roland was a member and former president at Battleground Country Club.
He was predeceased by his parents Amanda Cormiere and Philip Cadotte; and his brother, Roger Cadotte. Roland is survived by his wife of 55 years, Saveria "Rene" Cadotte of Freehold Township; children, Roland Cadotte and his wife, Alice of Freehold Township, and Gina Walling and her husband, Glen of Freehold Township; five grandchildren, Roland "RJ" Cadotte, III, Evan Cadotte, Ryan Cadotte, Melanie Walling and Brett Walling; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Arneytown.
