Condolences
I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. We worked together at DTC back in the 90's. I have fond memories of John. He had such a fun personality and was very-well liked. It's hard to believe he is gone. My condolences to the family. May John rest in peace.
John was both a gifted athlete and wonderful human being. I have not seen him for over 30 years, as we played football and grew up together in College at WVWC, yet I miss him now and wish we had stayed in touch. My sincere sympathies to all that knew and loved him.
John, Rest In Peace. Your WVWC friend, teammate, and Kappa Alpha Brother! Lots of great memories. Kevin Braun
I had the pleasure of working with John at DTC, and we hit it off the first time we met as we were both highly competitive. He excelled in work and we also played together on a company basketball team - what a great athlete and person! And the funniest guy I ever knew. I am deeply saddened by his passing - I had been trying for the past several years to contact him but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I hope and pray that John found peace and he is in a better place. RIP, JK. Via condios, amigo. Until we meet again.
My respects and condolences to John's family! May God's Peace be upon him through eternity! A fearless competitor on the football field, a good friend and life of the party off. John will be missed but will live on in the tales of his life. However, his dancing must have improved after college - R.I.P. my friend and fellow Bobcat!
Just a few thoughts for Denise and Barbara and other famity and friends - there are no adequate words to describe how sad it is to know that John is no longer here with us. As you know, John was always larger than life. He did everything at full tilt, even if it wasn't safe or smart for him. In HS, he got us into a lot of trouble, but pound-for-pound he was the toughest person I have ever known. It is hard to be believe that both of our FTHS '80 middle infielders (John and Joe Montoya) are gone - and way too early. John's energy, courage and humor are unforgettable. I hope he now has some peace.
The Time and Memories spent together will always be cherished. In our college days, football, track, weightlifting, camps, hitting the beach on spring breaks, etc. You will be missed by many Johnny. Rest in Peace My Brother
Only knew you for 7 years and in the last three haven't seen you much. But we shared a common love for God. You had such a pure heart and loved God with all of your heart. I will never forget you or our friendly arguments and little side step dances whenever we ran into each other. My heart goes out to the family and I will keep you all in my daily prayers. He rests now with his Jesus
May you and your family find the peace and harmony you all deserve!
My condolences to the the Family. John has given me many happy memories from FTHS to keep and treasure. I am proud to say he was my Friend!
My sympathies to John's family. Senior year of high school, when John was QB of the FTHS football team, I was roaming doing stats and heard the sideline chatter. I remember vividly that John was hurt one game, probably bruised or fractured ribs, yet he refused to sit. His insistence on leading his teammates and more important, playing at his best no matter what for a new, young coach was really all you needed to know about him as a leader, a peer, and a man.
Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We pray you find the peace of Christ embracing you. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Grace and peace, Kristen and family
John was my best friend in high school. We talked and shared everything. I can't believe he's gone. We didn't keep in touch after college and I should have made a larger effort to find you. I missed our jokes and laughs and being able to share everything. I will cherish my memories of you.
So sad over the recent news. John and I played all sports together, he made a great friend and was a great athlete. Very spirited and truly funny, he knew when to break it up or when to lead the way. Sadly the world lost a very unique young man and I speak for so many of his classmates when I say we lost one of the GOOD GUYS. Forever in our Hearts John, your buddy Chris
My condolences to the Family ,May God console the Kelly family be in their time of Loss. God Bless Cousin Rob
To my Best Friend in HS and the man who knew me best. I'm sorry we never had the opportunity to talk in our adult years. I have so many amazing memories of our friendship and time we spent together. You were an amazing athlete, the funniest guy I ever met (next to Phil H) and the most dependable friend I knew. The memories are endless. My deepest regret is that I hurt you so long ago and I pray you were able to forgive me. To Barbara and Denise, his family and those he loved, I send my deepest sympathies on this tremendous loss. May John be at peace in the arms of our Lord.
My deepest condolences to the Kelly family. His light will forever be in our hearts.
Deepest sympathies to family and friends with the loss of our FTHS class mate MAY HIS MEMORY LIVE ON FOREVER RIP
