Diane, Michele & Stephanie, I remember your mother very well and the many years and laughs we shared while we were growing up. I always respected your mother and felt we had a special connection. 45 years ago, I certainly didn't realize what a true inspiration your mom would be to me - as I, too, am raising my children alone due to the death of my husband. It certainly is a very humbling and difficult road. Your mother did an amazing job of raising 3 intelligent, strong willed and independent women. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences. Chris was practically a member of the family during our years as neighbors in Howell. Our whole family simply loved her. Even after we moved to different locations, we made sure to see each other a few times a year to share family pictures and stories. She was a dear friend: kind, helpful, considerate and fun to be with. We will miss her.

I remember her returning from Germany with small Steiff animals for me and my sisters. This must have been in the early to mid 1970s. My lion was very special to me and I still have it today all these years later. I hope your memories provide some comfort during this difficult time.
