Obituary of Kathleen Janny

Kathleen V. Janny, 85, of Freehold passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, lived on Staten Island before settling in Freehold in 1970. Prior to her retirement in 1956, she was employed as a secretary for Equitable Life Insurance, Manhattan. Kathleen was a parishioner at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her sister, Sister Mary McCaffrey of the Redemptoristine nuns community. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John V. Janny; sons, John Janny of Millstone and Jerry Janny of Freehold Township; daughters, Kathy Delio of Freehold Township and Suzanne Geherty of Ewing Township; four grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, GinaMaria and Sean; and brothers, Daniel McCaffrey of Allentown and Jerry McCaffrey of Emerson. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
