Obituary of Judith Powers

Office manager, 61 Judith "Judy" Powers, 61, of Howell Township died on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at home. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Rd. (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Thursday, March 26. Her memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Mrs. Powers was born in Newark and lived in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for over 30 years before moving to Howell. She was an office manager for over 40 years, most recently for the Jones Apparel Group, Edison. Mrs. Powers was predeceased by her son, Michael Powers, in 1996. Surviving are a brother, Dominic Digiese of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Carol Delfa of Northport, Fla.; a godson and his wife, Edward and Karen Garrison of Howell, and their children, Eddie Garrison, and Jillian and Kara Garson, and her dear friend and constant source of support during her illness, Arlene Ruffino of Brick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy's memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of N.J., 1034 Salem Rd., Union, N.J. 07083-7058, and would be appreciated.
