Obituary of June Kelley
June P. Kelley, 52, of Farmingdale passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Passaic, raised in Freehold and had settled in Farmingdale in 1986 where she raised her family. June was a teacher at Joseph J. Catena Elementary School, Freehold Township for 25 years until retirement in 2010. She taught 2nd grade, math and computers and technology. June had a thirst for knowledge which she loved to share with her friends, family and colleagues. She enjoyed reading the Sunday paper and cooking. Without a recipe or measuring cup, June was able to put a meal together using nothing more than a pinch of this, a pinch of that and the lessons passed down from her grandmother. June will be remembered for her upbeat personality, love for the children she taught, and devotion to her family.
June is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Harold Kelley of Farmingdale; a son, Zachary Kelley of Farmingdale; a daughter, Megan Kelley; two brothers; two sisters; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 12:00 Noon funeral service on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ardena Baptist Cemetery, Howell.
