Obituary of Hazel Bove

Hazel Lee Bove, 66, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Hazel was born in Maplewood, raised in Neptune and settled in Howell in 1966. She was the Special Deputy Surrogate for the County of Monmouth for over 49 years and was active in her parish, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Farmingdale. She loved to read novels, and watch the hummingbirds and listen to the owls in her yard. Hazel is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Bove of Howell; daughter, Jessica Bove of Brielle; son, Stephen Bove of Point Pleasant Beach; three grandchildren, Olivia, Madeline and Thomas; and brother, Peter Mack and his wife, Lulu of Myrtle Beach, SC. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 9:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale.
