Obituary of Linda Halleran

Linda M. Halleran, 62, of Howell Township passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 10, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Linda was born and raised in Newark and had lived in West Orange before settling to Howell in 1986. She graduated from the Martland Medical School of Nursing and worked as a RN for St. Francis Hospital, Jersey City, St. Mary's Hospital, Hoboken and other North Jersey Hospitals for over twenty years. Most recently, Linda was a HR Manager for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wall. She was a parishioner of St. William the Abbot Catholic Church, Howell. Linda was known by all to be very caring, giving and had a great sense of selflessness but most of all she was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She was predeceased by her parents, Sylvester and Josephine Greco. Linda is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Dennis; a son, Dennis Halleran and his wife, Dianna of El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Kristen Halleran of Howell; a sister, Carolann McCaffrey and her husband, Kevin of West Orange; and two nieces, Melissa Rioseco and her husband, Stephen of Livingston and Michelle McCaffrey of West Orange. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 8:45 AM for the procession to St. William the Abbot Catholic Church, 2740 Lakewood Allenwood Road, Howell for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Sea Girt.
