Obituary of Robert Ayers

Robert W. Ayers, 66, of Brielle passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Neptune, raised in Farmingdale and had lived in Wall, Manasquan, and Brielle. Bob was a union electrician for the I.B.E.W., Local #456, New Brunswick until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the National Street Rod Association and had restored his own 1934 Ford Sedan. Bob was a passionate Eagles fan. Married for forty years, he was a devoted husband and loving father. Bob is survived by his wife, Mae; two children, Chris Ayers of Brooklyn and Lindsay Ayers of Hoboken; a brother, Ronald Ayers and his wife, Jane of Howell; a sister, Debbie Francese and her husband, Dominick of Neptune; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 9:30 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
