Obituary of Charles Powell
Charles Powell, 81, of East Windsor passed away at home on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Charlie was born in Smithburg, and raised in Red Bank and Freehold before settling in East Windsor thirteen years ago. He was employed by the 3M Company for 38 years prior to his retirement in 1995. An animal lover, Charlie was a laid-back, easy going gentleman. He had a creative side, and enjoyed drawing and woodworking.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Powell; brother, Frank Powell; and sister, Dorothy Bennett. Charlie is survived by his son, William Powell and his wife, Deborah of Howell; one daughter, Rose Bullock and her husband, Daniel of Hightstown; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Pauline Reed.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM.
