Obituary of John Palmer
John J. Palmer, Jr., 76, of Freehold Township passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Freehold Township in 1977. John was the owner of Advanced Graphic Equipment, Co., Kenilworth and spent 54 years in the printing industry before retiring in 2012. He was a former member of the Freehold Elks.
John is survived by his wife, Gwen Palmer of Freehold Township; sons, John Palmer, III and his wife, Diane of Freehold Township, Joseph C. Palmer and his wife, Rachel of Howell; James DeMott and his wife, Krista of Boca Raton, FL, and John DeMott and his wife, Nicole of Yardley, PA; six grandchildren; and three siblings, James R. Palmer of Aurora, CO, Rev. Herbert E. Palmer of Austin, TX and Joyce C. Eddy of Jacksonville, FL.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM with his funeral service to follow. Entombment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John may be made to Freehold First Aid Squad, 18 Spring Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
