Obituary of Della Bell
Della A. Bell, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, surrounded with love by her family. Born in New Brunswick on January 10, 1935, Della resided in Old Bridge for more than 60 years. For over 30 years, she was a banquet manager at the Don Quixote Inn, Matawan. Della loved spending holidays and get-togethers with family and friends, adding her special touch and signature recipes to make them even more meaningful. She was loved and admired by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and her strong spirit will be greatly missed.
Della was predeceased by her devoted husband, Robert E. Bell in 2005. A beloved mother, grandmother (known proudly as "Grammy"), and great-grandmother, she is survived by her three daughters, Deborah O'Brien and her husband, Jim Rizzo of Fairfield, CT, Sue Savitsky and her husband, Craig of Dagsboro, DE, and Bonnie Lally and her husband, Tom of Freehold Township; seven grandchildren Kristi McKenna and her husband, John, Kelly Dobrinsky and her husband, Mark, Craig Bryan Savitsky, Kayla Taylor and her husband, Chris, Joseph Savitsky, Kyra Lally, and Kelsey Lally; and three great-grandchildren, Jack McKenna, Kate McKenna and Emmaline Dobrinsky.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a memorial gathering at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Burial of ashes will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
