Obituary of Jeanette Harrington
Jeanette A. Harrington, 76, of Freehold Township passed away with her family by her side at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Jeanette was born and raised in The Bronx, and moved to Freehold Township in 1968. She was well known in Freehold Township as she served as the secretary of the Zoning and Planning Boards for over thirty years. Prior to that, Jeanette was a secretary for Western Electric, and was picked to be an exhibit hostess at the World's Fair in 1964. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting and gardening, and she proudly submitted crafts at the Monmouth County Fair for four decades. A kind woman with a gentle warmth, her granddaughters were her greatest joy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Mary Wallach; two brothers, Stanley and Eugene Wallach; and two sisters, Helen Sully and Christina Presto. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Laura Morrill and her husband, Mark; and her two granddaughters, Kelly Morrill and Kristen Morrill, all of Toms River.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
