Obituary of Neil Stanley

Neil Stanley, 54, of Howell Township, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York. Neil was born in Englewood Cliffs and was raised in Freehold and settled to Howell Township in 1979. He was a designer for Wholesale Kitchens, Perth Amboy for the past seventeen years. Prior to that, Neil owned and operated, Stanley Industries, a design, fabrication, and installation company of custom furniture and kitchens. He was a member of the Ardena Baptist Church. Neil was known by many as "Happy Feet" for his love of dance. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an adoring grandfather. Neil was predeceased by his son, Christopher P. "Chris" Stanley in 2008 and his mother, Mary Jane Folts in 2009. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Jody Stanley; three daughters, Rachel Stanley of Farmingdale, Jessica Stanley of Howell Twp., and Michelle Stanley of Howell, Twp.; three grandchildren, Kevin Hildebrand, Chase Stanley, and Ashtyn Stanley; his father, Cornelius Stanley of Freehold, five brothers, Mark Stanley of Old Bridge, Billy Folts of Freehold, Morris Stanley of Washington State, David Folts of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Jason Stanley of Freehold; six sisters, Janeil Stanley Koczera of Fords, LeaAnn Miller of Old Bridge, Jacque Folts of Freehold, Laura Stanley of South Portland, Maine, Faith Jones of Lakehurst, and Betsy Cordier of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM with the Rev. Thomas Detamore, officiating. Interment will be in the Ardena Baptist Church Cemetery, Howell Twp. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
