Obituary of Daniel Buckiewicz

Daniel S. Buckiewicz, 21, of Howell, died at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Buckiewicz was born in New Brunswick and was a lifelong resident of Howell. He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. He was a student at Ramapo College, Mahwah, and was to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Law & Society on Friday. He was to attend NYU Law School in August. Daniel was a graduate of Freehold Township High School, Class of 2005, where he was the vice president of his freshman and sophomore classes. He also attended Land of Pines School and Howell Middle School North. He was a member and captain of the Varsity Baseball Team and a member of "DECA" at Freehold Township High School. He was also a member of the North Howell Little League, Howell Roller Hockey League and the Howell Soccer Club. During the summer, he worked for Shore Distributors, Freehold, where he was a member of the Teamsters Union. Surviving are his parents, Bruce A. and Jane A. McDonnell Buckiewicz of Howell; a sister, Amy Buckiewicz, at home; and his paternal grandmother, Dorris Buckiewicz of Sayreville. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 17 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, May 18 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will be private.
