Obituary of Harold Swart

Harold Gary Swart, 65, of Freehold Township died on June 8, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Swart was born in Elmira, NY and was raised in Trumansburg, NY before settling to Freehold Township in 1981. Harold retired as a parts director for automobile dealerships throughout the area. He most recently was semi-retired working for the Asbury Park Press. He was a former assistant Basketball Coach at Wagner College, Brookdale Community College, and Sommerset Community College. Harold was a former player and coach in the Eastern League. Mr. Swart was predeceased by his parents, Harold & Mildred Swart. He is survived by his wife, Noreen Swart of Freehold Twp.; a son, Andrew C. Swart of Freehold Twp.; a daughter, Caitlyn Swart of Freehold Twp.; a sister, Mary Jones and her husband, Paul of Ithaca, NY; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Jo McElroy of Bloomsbury and their children, Dannie, Devon, and Bobby; extended family, Nelson and Jackie Eddy of Ithaca, NY; and numerous friends. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM.
