Condolences
Shu-Qui, my eldest and best friend has passed away. Her kind, sweet and noble image never die, just fade away. The light she lit in my heart is there forever. I met her in Beijing 1957, we have had almost the same fate since then. Thus we shared our happiness and sorrow constantly till this day of her life. We had a wonderful time to-gether in College Park, Maryland when she visited me in 1987. She was not only my close friend but also my tireless tutor, especially in health and medical knowledge. She sent me books and materials cut from newspaper to help me with my problems. She was always a positive thinking lady with sense of humor, and a helpful hand to others. Like my own mother, she raised her only child and helped her raising three grandchildren whom she loved dearly. In many ways, we experienced the same situation; we shared our sweetness and bitterness in life. Yet, she was always cheerful, optimistic and making jokes on pain that life brought. I love her dearly and miss her badly. Wishing her peace in heaven Hsien-wei Hsu Chicago
Our condolences to your lost. Our warm thought with you. God bless you!
I took my only and last picture for Mrs. Shu Qin Kou in the summer of 2008 when I visited her daughter Rose Ng and family. Mrs. Kou was very exciting to see me after so many years. She still clearly remembered many details of life fifty one years ago when our two families stayed in the same hotel in Beijing. I was surprise that at the age of 93, Mrs. Kou was still very sharp and active. She often wrote letter to my mother, Xianwei Hsu, to exchange ideas on how to live a happy and healthy life. She wrote: “I’ll never become old until I die". Indeed, she will never become old. Wish she rests in peace, James Chang
