Obituary of Ignazio DiGangi
Ignazio Joseph "Joey" DiGangi, 47, of New Egypt, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Joey was born in Norwich, Conn. and moved to Freehold Township in 1975. He then settling to New Egypt with his wife 1987. He was the owner of The Floor Store, Freehold Township since 1993. He was instrumental in the operation of his family business, Rosario's Deli. Joey lived to serve God and exemplified how a true Christian man should live. His life revolved around his family who brought him all his joy. Joey was a devoted friend putting everyone else first. His family could not ask for a better father or husband.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kimberly DiGangi of New Egypt; a son, Rosario J. DiGangi of New Egypt; a daughter, Nicole A. DiGangi of New Egypt; his parents, Rosario and Rose DiGangi of Millstone; a brother, Thomas DiGangiof Millstone; his in-laws, John and Sylvia Applegate of Freehold; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; three nieces; and three nephews.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 17 at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by his 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
