Obituary of Diana Obal

Diana "Tish" Obal, 56, of Howell Twp. passed away on Friday, July 31, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Tish was born and raised in Queens Village, NY and had lived in Freehold before settling to Howell Twp. in 1989. She received her nursing degree in 1972 from Flushing Hospital School of Nursing. She was the former sales manager at the West End Family Pharmacy, West Long Branch, prior to that Tish was a nurse for the VNA of Central Jersey. Tish is survived by her husband, Richard Obal of Howell; a sister, Patricia Hannigan of Orlando, FL; two brothers-in-law, Walter Obal and his wife, Kathryn of Princeton and Joseph Obal and his wife, Joan of Sayreville; a sister-in-law, Christine Geene and her husband Matthew of Manassas, VA; and many loving nieces and nephews to whom she will always be Aunt Tish. A gathering of friends will be at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, August 6, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the funeral home on Friday, August 7, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
