Obituary of Michael Campion

Michael Campion, 65, of Millstone Township died on Friday, August 7, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mike was born in Neptune and was raised in Spring Lake and lived in Wall Township before moving to Millstone in 1992. He graduated from St. Benedict's Prep., St. Peter's College, and received an MBA from Monmouth University. He worked for several New Jersey companies for 38 years. Most recently, he was the President of Accutech Environmental Services, Keyport. Mike served in the NJ National Guard for six years and was a member of the American Legion Post #434, Englishtown. He greatly appreciated those who served in the armed forces of the USA. He was a member of the Millstone Elks and the Knights of Columbus. Mike was a CASA worker representing foster children. He was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish in Millstone and is a member of the Men's Guild and the Church Choir. Mike was an ardent supporter of Gettysburg Foundation. He cherished the many family trips to Vermont and Arizona and, as he always said:" The cruises weren't bad either". He loved his cluttered garage and was going to clean it up someday. Mike was predeceased by his parents; Frank and Evelyn Campion, his brothers, Robert Jon and Francis Philip Campion. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Myrna; his children, Michelle Campion of Wall Twp., Madeline Campion of Aberdeen, Myrrh Domingo of Wyckoff, and Michael Domingo of Millstone Twp.; and a brother, Christopher Campion and his family of Wall Township. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, August 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friend are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 11, at 8:30 AM followed by his 10:00 AM Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Millstone Township.
