Obituary of Doris Durlacher

Doris E. Durlacher, 78, of Howell passed away on Saturday, August 8 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Durlacher was born in New York City and was a lifelong resident of Fair Lawn before moving to Howell in 1998. She was a 1955 graduate of Clara Maass School of Nursing, Belleville and worked there as a registered nurse before moving on to St. Joseph's Hospital, Patterson and then retiring from the Fair Lawn Manor, Fair Lawn. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert and a sister Inge Kohlhaas. Mrs. Durlacher is survived by one son, Paul W. and his wife Diane of Fair Lawn; Two daughters Joanna and her husband John DeBell of Howell and Barbara and her husband Mozey Ghaffari of Howell; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM, with her funeral service to follow at 8:30PM. Interment will be on Wednesday, Aug 12 at a time to be announced in Fair Lawn Cemetery.
