Obituary of Jennie Bonacorda
Jennie Bonacorda, 88 of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, August 21 at The Manor in Freehold Township. Mrs. Bonacorda was born in New York City and had lived in Italy, the South Bronx, Brooklyn and Rossmoor, Monroe Township before settling to Monmouth Crossings, Freehold in 2008. She graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx. Jennie was a secretary for the Department of the Army at the Brooklyn Army Base until her retirement. Jennie also worked at various temporary office positions throughout the years, after her retirement at the Army Base. She was a volunteer for P.S. 229 school in Brooklyn, as well as the Holy Family nursing home in Brooklyn. Mrs. Bonacorda was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn, and a former active member of St. Francis Cabrini Womens Society, Brooklyn from 1967-1995. She was also active with the Rossmoor Community in Monroe Township, and a member of the gardening club and the Brooklyn Italian American Club.
Mrs. Bonacorda was predeceased by her husband, Vincent and a brother, James "Jimmy". She is survived by two daughters Linda and her husband Dennis Crivello of Millstone Township and Donna and her husband Thomas Racioppi of Staten Island and four grandchildren Kimberly Crivello of Hamilton, Scott Crivello of Ewing, Jesse Crivello of Millstone and Carly Racioppi of Staten Island.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, August 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home for her rite of committal on Thursday, August 27 at 8:00 AM, followed by her 9:00 AM funeral mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
