Obituary of Alice Hassard

Alice L. Hassard, 73, of Farmingdale, passed away at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009. Mrs. Hassard was born in Long Branch and was a life-long resident of Farmingdale. She was a letter sorter for the U.S. Postal Service at their Monmouth County Regional Sorting Center, Eatontown, for 20 years retiring in 1998. Mrs. Hassard was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, the Choir and the Quilting Club. She is survived by her son, Andrew Hassard of Interlaken, NJ; her daughter, Sharon Hassard of St. Joseph, Missouri; a brother, Harold E. Lippincott and two sisters, Ann Blaine and Jane Andreen all of Farmingdale, NJ. Visiting at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp., NJ on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale, 8 Main Street, Farmingdale, NJ 07727.
