Obituary of Ignazio D'Alessandro

Ignazio "Iggy" D'Alessandro 68, of Manalapan passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at home. Mr. D'Alessandro was born in Palermo, Sicily, Italy, and had lived in Roselle Park before moving to Manalapan 11 years ago. He was a driver for Emilani Beauty Supplies, Union, until his retirement in 1994. Mr. D'Alessandro is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of Manalapan; a daughter, Marylu, and her husband, Chris Raponkus of Toms River; a brother, Fillippo D'Alessandro of Italy; a grandson, Kyle Raponkus; 3 Godchildren, Frank Ascone of Randolph, Ben Ascone of Middletown and Vicki Rapon of Forked River; 2 sisters-in-law, Suzanne Kelly of Manalapan and Michelene Marusiak and her husband, James, of Marlboro; a nephew, Nickolas; a niece, Angela, both of Marlboro. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Thursday, September 17, 2009, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends my gather at 8:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2009, for the Rite of Committal followed by his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Good Shepherd Church, 285 Nesbit Terrace, Irvington, NJ. The entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
