Obituary of Carmine Nesta
Carmine A. Nesta, 83 of Silvermead, Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, October 18 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Mr. Nesta was born in Newark and had lived in Iselin for 50 years before settling to Silvermead, Freehold in 2004. He retired as the Supervisor of distribution for Purolator, Rahway in 1984. After retiring, Mr. Nesta was the Supervisor of distribution for Giatano Clothing. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II and a member of the D.A.V. He was a former officer for the Purolator Credit Union, Heightstown. He was also a member of the Silvermead Community Club and the Senior Center, both of Freehold. Mr. Nesta was a former parishioner of St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Iselin.
Mr. Nesta is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Nesta of Freehold; one son Carmine Nesta, Jr., and his wife Karen of Jamesburg; two daughters Tricia and her husband Michael Olszewski of Howell and Roxanne and her husband Frank Lovero of Howell; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Nesta of Bloomfield and one sister Antoinette DeMeo of Florida.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township, on Wednesday, October 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, October 22 at 9:00 AM. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
