Condolences
Dear Walt, It was with a great deal of sorrow that we learned of Joyce's passing. Both Shirley and I look back at the good times we had together on St. Maarten. Although we did not know Joyce for a long period of time, we cared for her very much. She was a very caring and warm person. We are both better people for having known her. Again, our deepest sympathies to you and your family. Shirley and Jerry Sherman

Dear Kevin and Cori, Rob and Nancy, Jeanine and Bart, Uncle Walter, Walther and Leah, Tommy and John and Tierney send you all condolences on the death of Joyce. I just received word on Tuesday that she had been in hospital and then my sister called me to give me the news of her passing. I felt so bad and I know that you all are grieving at this time when this wonderful woman has moved on to new life. Joyce was a woman of such strong faith and belief that I know she is resting now in the Lord; I am sure that she is praying for all of us. I would always look forward to visits with her when I was home in NJ. She was always so interested in hearing my stories of Africa or Chris' stories of her adventures in East Timor and the Philippines. She always had a wonderful smile on her face and she kept praying for her miracle. It is difficult to see her pass on, especially at such a young age. She and all of you are in my prayers everyday. I pray that you know she will be with us still-just in another way. May all of you be a comfort to each other. With love, Mary

It was a pleasure knowing Joyce over the years. We had not seen each other in quite a while. I knew her when I worked at the landfill and had to attend bids at the County. We became good friends. My husband and I send our deepest sympathy to all of you. Sincerely Jackie and Frank Genua

Joyce was the type of person who knew the true meaning of friendship. Always a smile and a welcome greeting. She had the ability to listen, to guide, and be by your side in time of need. She loved her family and life so much. God has gained a wonderful new angel. With Our Love & Deepest Sympathy....Jack & Jean Wyckoff
Dear Walter, Robert & Nancy, Kevin & Cori and Jeanine & Bart, My heart goes out to you. Joyce was the nicest, most generous, kind, friendly, selfless, caring and courageous person I ever knew. Clearly she raised her 3 children to become wonderful, nice, caring, respectful and successful adults and she was so very proud of each of you, rightfully so!! Joyce loved her family so very much and was a devoted and loving grandmother. Nothing made Joyce happier than being with and loving her family. She was an inspiration to everyone who ever met her. She was a VERY special person who made this world a much better place. I feel lucky to have known Joyce and am honored that she considered me her friend. Joyce and I bonded immediately the very first time we spoke (even before we met in person). The better I got to know Joyce, the more I grew to love, admire and respect her. You are all very lucky to have had the "BEST-EVER" wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother anyone could ever even dream of. I know you will all miss her dearly, as will everyone that knew her and I hope you can find peace in knowing how much she loved her family and friends. Love, Donna
Dear Jeanine and Family, You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Joyce was one of those truly special people that are few and far between. She was so selfless and full of love and you are all shining examples of her. And you are all her greatest pride and joy. I can only imagine how much you miss her but I know her spirit will always be with you - looking out for you, guiding you, and blessing all you do. I will cherish all the hugs, prayers, and smiles I was lucky enough to get from her. Your are in our hearts as you go through this very sad time. Love, ~Ellen, Mike, Fiona, & Teagan
Dear Jeanine, We have been praying for you, your siblings and their families, Caroline and Katherine and Walter. Joyce was a model for me as to what I want to be like when I'm a grandmother someday--engaging, loving, smiling. . .we will all miss her and we pray she is at peace now. Love, Lorraine, Mike & Tyler McCamley
Joyce will always have a very special place in my heart. I will miss her dearly and am grateful for the good times I had with her over the years. She was happiest during the times when she was with her children and grandchildren. You all meant so much to her and knowing that you have one another will certainly help bring closure. My fondest memories of her are the sunny afternoons on the beach and footprints in the sand will always remind me of those beautiful afternoons. Rest in peace Joyce. You are loved by many!
I have such fond memories of Joyce. What a wonderful woman. I am honored to have known her. There is one story that I would like to share that is a special memory for me. At Jeanine's wedding shower Joyce gave as the favor an angel, more specifically an angel of love. Here she was celebrating her daughters shower and Joyce took the time to come up to me and tell me that she was giving this angel of love to me to help me find my love. I have cherished my angel and not long after I did find the man who I was to marry. I was so touched that Joyce would take the time to think of me and send me her prayers. But as you all know this wasn't unusual for Joyce. She seemed to spread her love wherever she went and those of us lucky enough to have experienced it are truly blessed.
Joyce was a wonderful person. Always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say to all. We were fortunate to have known her. Sending all our thoughts and prayers. Dan, Caroline and Quin family
The Lord's having a party in His house tonite, There's a new girl in town with a smile so bright; They'll welcome her home as a child with a new toy, And soon they'll all know this girl called 'JOY'. She was an integrel part of life down below, That's why it's so hard to have her go; But she's needed upstairs to carry on the Lord's work, And to experience His love...now, that's quite a perk. I'm sure she's overwhelmed by family and friends, Something like that feeling when you get the bends; There'll be so much to do she'll never want to roam, As everyone greets her, with a huge...WELCOME HOME.
