Obituary of Helen Blackford

Helen Albright Blackford, 93, formerly of Parlin, NJ, passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009. She was raised in Perryopolis, PA, before moving to Parlin (Sayreville) in 1959. She relocated to Whiting, NJ, and then Downingtown, PA in 2004. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Homer, in 1988, and her sisters, Isabelle and Alberta, both of Perryopolis. She is survived by her son, Allen Blackford and wife Yoshi, currently residing in Japan, and her daughters, Irene Miller & family of Thornton, PA, and Cheryl Fischer and husband Tom of Farmingdale, NJ, as well as her 3 Grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor, Margaret, Eunice and Gertrude, and a brother, David. There will be visitation at Clayton - McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road in Freehold at 10am on Wednesday.
