Obituary of Angela Benedek

Angela K. Benedek, 85, of Howell Township passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at home. Mrs. Benedek was born in and had lived in Jersey City before moving to Howell in 1996. She worked as a secretary for Pacific Intermountain Express, Teamsters Local # 501, Union City retiring in 1985. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Benedek in 1996 and her brother Vito in 1999. Mrs. Benedek is survived by four sons Joseph F. Benedek, Jr of Freehold Township, Robert Benedek of Kissimmee, Fl., Martin Benedek of Bayonne, and Paul Benedek of Hazlet; Eight Grandchildren: Martin Jr., Sara, Melanie, Julie, Michele, James, Robin and Jennifer; a Goddaughter Francine Serpico; her caregiver Dorothy; and her relatives in the Garguilo, Cestaro, Bufano, Grimaldi and Malvasi families. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township, on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 8:30 AM for her rite of commital followed by her 9:00 AM funeral mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Ave., Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
