Obituary of Joan Hankins

Joan C. Hankins, 80, of Freehold Twp. passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 24th, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp. Mrs. Hankins was born in Washington, DC and had lived in Bethesda and Chevy Chase before moving to Howell Twp. in 1965. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul A., in 1983; a son, Christopher Edwin Hankins, and a brother, William Coherd. She is survived by her son, Paul, and his wife, Mary, Hankins of Freehold Twp.; 2 grandsons, Paul, Jr. of Jackson and Sean of Wilkes Barre, PA; 4 granddaughters, Krista Malloy of Ocala, FL, Laura Garcia of Howell; Melissa Hankins of Freehold and Kimberly Hankins of Freehold; 7 Great Grandchildren and a brother, Robert Coherd of Springboro, OH. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 30th, from 2-4 & 7-8:30 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA, on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
