Obituary of John Gunther

John "Bob" R. Gunther, 79, Farmingdale passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Bob was born in Morristown and had lived in Warren Twp., and throughout Monmouth County before settling to Farmingdale in 1985. He was a 1949 graduate of Plainfield High School and a 1951 graduate of Nicholas College. Bob was the owner of Bob & Sue Gunther Contractors, Farmingdale. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a life member of the Howell Elks. Bob loved to ride his motorcycle and shoot pool. He was predeceased by his parents John and Evelyn Gunther. Bob is survived by his wife, Suzanne; two daughters: Connie Bowden of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Leslie Mader and her husband, Greg of Middletown, NJ; Six grandchildren: Ariella, Allison, Heather, Jessica, Sam and Amy; one great granddaughter Ipi; and his faithful canine companion Baron. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on December 17, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
