Obituary of Joan Cox

Joan F. Cox, 71, of Howell passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Cox was born in Warwick, Rhode Island and had lived in Union City before settling to Howell in 1971. She was a baker for 25 years for Pathmark, Howell. Mrs. Cox was a member of Naranon and also participated in retreats at St. Veronica's Catholic Church, Howell. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Cox in 1999. Mrs. Cox is survived by three sons: Joseph F. Cox, Jr. of El Paso, Texas; Jeffrey A. Cox of Wall; and Gary R. Cox and his wife Heather of Howell; two grandchildren: Matthew Cox and Avery Cox; and two brothers: Albert Fontaine and Willie Fontaine both of Connecticut. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home at 8:30 AM for her rite of committal followed by her 9:30 AM funeral mass at St. Veronica's Catholic Church., 4215 Route 9, Howell.
